Things have gotten more tense and painful one after another and we doubt if in Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 21 things are going to change as Throfinn is heading to meet the King directly.

Canute saved himself with a sword and in the meanwhile others came to his rescue giving no chance to Thorgill to attack him anymore. Einar, Leif, and Thorfinn decided to leave the farm with Arnheid but it was already too late for her and she died on the cart. The episode ended with Thorfinn leaving to talk with King Canute.

Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 20 Recap
In the previous episode, we saw that the people protecting Ketil’s farm were scared of the Jomvikings. The Vikings were not leaving anyone and were giving a hard time to even the trained fighters.
The battlefield turned into a massacre of the farmers as soon as the battle started. Some lost their heads while some were not even able to realize that they were sent to death. Ketil was also delusional by that he could win against King Canute but it was all over in a few minutes since the battle started.
Snake’s men were also of no use in this battle and soon they retreated to save their lives. Ketil whose both sons were nowhere to find on the battlefield was also attacked but his injuries were minor and he was unrecognizable so he survived. He was later discovered by Snake that took him to safety by himself.
On the other hand, Einar, Thorfinn, and others decided to leave the farm with Arnheid but the tragedy was already knocking on their door. After moving for a little, Arnheid regained consciousness just to say her final goodbye to everyone.
Einar was very enraged after this but this was not the right moment or the right time to take any action against anyone. Thorgill caught the Kign by surprise by his sneak attack but King is also not an amateur. Canute guarded himself at the very last moment with a sword, though it got destroyed by Thorgill’s force.
Thorgill then gave other soldiers a tough time too but when he sensed that he could win this he retreated to the ocean. Everyone was devasted after Arnheid’s death and after burying her Thorfinn gave a long thought and then decided that he will talk to King Canute himself.
