The demons have entered the hidden Sword Smith village and their outright attack will continue in Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 4. They caught Muichiro and Tanjiro off guard and now they are in very bad condition.

In the last episode, we saw that Tanjiro and Kotetsu found the 300-year-old sword but it was all rusted. Haganezuka then took matters into his hands and took the task to make the sword like a brand new one. There was a conversation between Genya and Tanjiro and it did not end on a very good end. Gyokko and Hantengu are inside the village now and they have started their attack.

Gyokko attacked a villager while Hantengu directly entered the room where Muichiro, Tanjiro, and Nezuko were. He entered the room very slowly that not even a Hashira was able to notice his presence. Then we saw his powers that he can’t be killed like other demons by slashing their necks and he grows a new body from each cut part of his body.

Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 3 Recap

In the third episode of Demon Slayer Season 3, we saw that Tanjiro has received his new sword from inside of the training doll but it was all rusted. Haganezuka then appeared and took the sword in a very strange way where he talked about how he will take it from there. We also saw that tickling is his weak point and he passes out for a few minutes after he gets tickled. Then we got an explanation that Haganezuka is training in the woods so that he can forge a good sword for Tanjiro.

Haganezuka then took that rusted sword with him to repair it but it will take three days of time to restore to its original condition. He gave Tanjiro a sword that he can use in the meanwhile. Then Tanjiro was talking nonstop to Genya but Genya shouted at him and said that we are not friends. Genya was still upset that at the time of training, Tanjiro broke his hand but Tanjiro said that there was nothing wrong with that and he totally deserved it. Tanjiro then noticed that all the teeth of Genya were intact but he still had the teeth he found in the hot spring.

He asked about it and got himself kicked out of the room. Then we saw a villager who was coming down from the hot spring encountered Gyokko’s vase on the stairs and was wondering who left it there. As he picked it up he was attacked and Gyokko ate him. Then we got to know that demons do not like to eat the people of Sword Smith village but Gyokko is still going to do it as it will affect the demon slayers directly. Then on a roof, we saw Hantengu saying that he must hurry.

Muichiro then went to Tanjiro’s room where he was sleeping and he woke him up to ask about a swordsmith named Kanamori. He then told him that he might be with Haganezuka and they can look for him together. Muichiro then asked him why he cares about people so much and Tanjiro replied that it all comes around when you do good for other people. Then they talked about it for some time and then they both noticed that someone was outside their door.

Crying Hantengu then entered the room and that was the first time they noticed that it was a demon and immediately realized that it is an upper rank. Then Muichiro without wasting a second activated his Mist Breathing Fourth Form: Shifting Flow Slash on Hantengu but he was able to dodge that attack. Hantengu then started crying more and said not to torment him. Tanjiro then drew his sword and activated Hinokami Kagura: Sunflower Thrust but he avoided that too.

Tanjiro had several questions going through his head and then Nezuko kicked Hantengu and Muichiro sliced his head off. Tanjiro then realized that Upper Ranks do not die when their heads are severed and we saw whole new demons forming from both parts of Hantengu’s body. Then one of them used a feather and it threw Muichiro into the forest. Their names are Sekido and Karaku and Hantengu has a total of four forms. The names of the other two are Aizetsu and Urogi.

Then Sekido used his staff and Tanjiro was about to lose consciousness as there was too much pressure there. Genya then shot Sekido and Karaku on their necks but it was not effective and then we saw all four forms of Hantengu in that place. The demons were all excited while Tanjiro explained Hantnegu’s power of splitting into multiple demons to Genya but it was too late as he slashed Karaku’s head.

Tanjiro then was grabbed by a demon with wings and the demon flew off into the sky. Tanjiro then asked Nazuko to save Genya as he was in grave trouble. Tanjiro then freed himself by cutting the leg of that demon but he was still affected by his attack and barely managed to survive the fall but the leg that was grabbing him turned into a demon and that demon was about to launch another attack on him.

The scene changes and we saw Muichiro running towards the place where the battle is happening. On the way, he noticed that there was a fish-like demon attacking Kotetsu. Muichiro then thought that the kid is not important but he remembered what Tanjiro said to him in between the episode and ended up saving Kotetsu.

Demon Slayer: Kimestu no Yaiba Season 3 Story

The story will start from chapter 98 with Kibutsuji Muzan who serves as the leader of all demons having a meeting with all the upper moons as one of them has been killed. Akaza was summoned by Muzan in the second season and this also alerted all other upper moons that they will be gathering in a single place after a very long time period. We are going to see their characters and personalities for the first time in the series but fans are most excited to see the number one Upper moon Kokushibo.
