Netflix Japan announced on October 6 that Netflix will distribute ONA (Original Network Animation) Series ‘Spriggan’ on its platform. Also, some additional details about staff members and a Picture Visual centered around the lead character, Yu Ominae were also released. Netflix will release the anime in 2021 worldwide. The manga is written by Takashige and Minagawa and was serialized from February 1989 to January 1996. An anime adaptation in the form of a film was also released in 1998. Studio 4°C produced and animated anime film. The Producer of the anime film was Mr. Katsuhiro Otomo, who is well known for directing critically acclaimed Akira (1988).
A game was also developed by FromSoftware which was released in 1999 and was available to play on Playstation.

Spriggan Anime Release Date
Spriggan anime will air in 2021 and will be distributed by Netflix worldwide. We have to wait a little longer for a specific release date but we will update it here as soon as it gets announced.

Story
Deep in the Ararat Mountains of Turkey, a secret organization known as ARCAM has found what is believed to be Noah’s Ark. However, the U.S. Machine Corps., a rogue organization of the Pentagon, wants to take over the Ark as a means of global supremacy. Only a special ARCAM operative known as a Spriggan stands in their way. Japanese Spriggan Yu Ominae teams up with Jean-Jacques Mondo to combat members of the U.S. Machine Corps. led by Col. MacDougall—a genetically-enhanced boy with deadly psionic powers. However, they must act fast and stop MacDougall before he uses the Ark for his own agenda.
