Kotestu was pretty hard on Tanjiro but after all, it was all for his sake and Tanjiro also endured it. It looks like Tanjiro has found his new sword and in Episode 3 he might start training with his new sword.

Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 2 Recap

The second episode of Demon Slayer Season 3 was light tone as we saw some character traits of Mist Hashira, some training of Tanjiro, and more. The episode started with Mist Hashira Muichiro arguing with the kid we saw at the end of Episode 1. The familiar person Tanjiro saw was a doll used for training and Muichiro was arguing with a kid named Kotetsu for the key to that training doll. Kotestu was not giving the key to Muichiro and then Tanjiro intervened but he was easily defeated by Mist Hashira.

Kotetsu was trying to protect the doll so it do not get destroyed. Muichiro then explained how important he is as a person and they are wasting his time. Tanjiro then used some words on him but he was pushed by him and it was enough to take out a person who recently woke up from a two months coma. We then saw Haganezuka there but he left as soon as Tanjiro woke up. Tanjiro then asked about Hashira and the doll.

Kotetsu explained that the doll can easily overpower a human and it can use more than a hundred moves, one hundred and eight to be precise. Its name was Yorichii Type Zero. Then they heard sword sounds and moved there and saw Mist Hashira fighting with the doll. Tanjiro again saw the doll and it looked like it was a familiar face to him. Kotetsu said that the doll was created around 300 years ago in the Sengoku period. The technique used to create that doll was precious and still unknown to them.

Then Tanjiro was intimidated by Muichiro’s skills and the attitude of his crow was the same as his, arrogant. It was revealed that Muichiro uses the Sun Breathing technique. Then Tanjiro again remembered the doll’s face and Kotetsu explained that it might be that he inherited this memory from his ancestors. Then suddenly some part of the doll broke and Kotetsu ran into the forest. Tanjiro then went to look for him and found him on a tree. Then Tanjiro said some words to cheer him up and looked like it worked.

While returning they met Muichiro again and he was done with his training. Muichiro took the doll’s sword as his sword snapped. Kotetsu ran to the doll and found it dumped into a field and then they both tried to run it again but it did not work for some moments and then again started working. Kotetsu then chose Tanjiro to take his revenge for his doll and the nightmare started for Tanjiro. He was then given no food until he defeat or land a hit on the doll, Kotetsu was quite hard about this training.

After a few days of training, Tanjiro was able to understand the moves beforehand and was able to dodge some. After some more training Tanjiro was able to hit the doll seriously but then he thought about Kotetsu but then Kotetsu gave his approval that will rebuilt it so Tanjiro can attack it freely. Tanjiro then attacked the doll and a sword came out of the doll’s inside. Looks like Tanjiro has found his new blade. The episode was full of emotions and training. The story will start from chapter 98 with Kibutsuji Muzan who serves as the leader of all demons having a meeting with all the upper moons as one of them has been killed.
