In the last episode, we saw the backstory of Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito. He was up all thanks to Kotetsu. We noticed that his father was not special and used to cut wood for a living. Both of his parents met their tragic end the same night when his mother was seriously ill and his father fell and died while fetching medicines for her.

She also died because of no medicines. We also saw that Mucihiro also had a twin brother named Yuichiro. He died because of blood loss when one demon attacked both brothers at night and Yuichiro lost his left hand while trying to save his brother. Back to the present, Muichiro was not in his prime but he was somehow keeping up with Gyokko’s attacks.

Demon Slayer Season 3 Episode 8 Recap

In the previous episode, we saw that Muichiro was back on his feet and saved Kotetsu from multiple fish demons with his attack. We then took a look into his past. We saw how his parents got killed on the same night. His mother died because of her illness while his father fell from a rock and succumbed to the wounds.

We then saw that he had a twin brother named Yucihiro. Yuichiro had the exact opposite personality to Muichiro and was a pessimist. Muichiro then encountered Master’s wife when he went to fetch water from the river and then she told both the brothers that their ancestors were trained sword fighters.

She then asked them to follow the same thing and go with her. Yuichiro was angry that she came and then said some harsh words to the lady and after that, she left. Yuichiro also said some pretty harsh things to his brother too.

One night, when the brothers were sleeping a demon knocked on the door and Yuichiro lost an arm while trying to save his brother. Muichiro lost consciousness and when he woke up the demon was in pieces while Muichiro had a weapon in his hand.

He then ran to look for his brother who was about to die due to heavy blood loss. Muichiro then realized that his brother wanted him to be strong all this time and that is why he said those harsh things. In the present, Gyokko was still busy trying to distract Haganezuka and then Muichiro arrived there.

Gyokko was in shock but then realized that Mucihiro is powerful and then attacked him with octopus legs. We also caught a glimpse of Muichiro’s master who trained him with the sword. The fight will continue in the upcoming episode as we dig deeper inside Mish Hashira’s back story.

Demon Slayer: Kimestu no Yaiba Season 3 Story

The story will start from chapter 98 with Kibutsuji Muzan who serves as the leader of all demons having a meeting with all the upper moons as one of them has been killed. Muzan summoned Akaza in the second season, alerting all other upper moons that they would be gathering in a single place after a very long period.

We will see their characters and personalities in the series for the first time, but fans are most excited to see the number one Upper moon Kokushibo.
