Todoroki family has gathered in Gunga and now the thing will take a turn in My Hero Academia 388 but on which side is still a mystery to all of us as Rei has started using her ice on Dabi. All Might vs All for One will also be a very important factor now.

In the previous chapter, we saw Geten and Compress talking inside a prison cell. Geten said that the Himura family’s blood is thick and they were prestigious in the past but their charisma faded with the passage of time. Also, they married their distant relatives and went extinct. Geten who is also a Himura was raised by Redestro.

Geten then explained that this passing of quirk got complex and now sometimes even the user is not aware of his own powers. Then Geten asked to Compress to tell his story. Endeavour and Dabi were 800m away from Gunga and Endeavour was pretty exhausted after all this constant fighting. His mind was also not functioning properly.

Dabi shouted at him to look at him and he saw Kid Toya saying ‘Look what I can do now’. He then got punched and asked Dabi to take out the flame pillars but Dabi also lost his mind and was not thinking or listening to anything. Endeavor was thinking about how Dabi was able to withstand this much heat and came to the conclusion that he crossed his limit.

We then saw ice coming out of Dabi’s chest as a result of Rei’s quirk. Endevur then thought about all that happened and said that it is all his fault. He was not able to take care of Toya and this is the consequence he has to face. He then thought to himself that he will not let his son die alone and hold Dabi and started to fly up. Then Rei appeared beside them and used her ice on Dabi.

My Hero Academia Chapter 388 will be on a one-week break due to the Golden Week holidays across Japan. The next chapter of the manga will be released in the upcoming issue of Weekly Shonen Jump on Sunday 14th May 2023 on Viz and MangaPlus. Spoilers and raw scans will be released at the usual release time (10th May Next Wednesday).
