‘Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld’s episode 11 ended with an announcement that Sword Art Online: Progressive is getting an anime adaptation and the story is not over yet. An official website was also launched revealing a visual and announcement.
The series is going to be the reboot of the first Sword Art Online series and it will be released in the form of an anime film which is scheduled to be released in 2021.

Along with the new key visual, a release was also announced. Sword Art Online: Progressive Movie will be released in 2021 in Japanese Theatres while fans outside Japan will have to wait sometime.
