Jujutsu Kaisen anime will be back on the screen with its infamous Shibuya Incident arc after three weeks of the long break. The first arc which is called the Hidden Inventory or the Premature Death arc concluded after it ran for a total of 5 Episodes and was focused on the time when Geto Suguru, Gojo Satoru, and Shoko Ieiri and their adventures during that time.
This Shibuya Incident Arc will be a long one and takes us back to the present. The Shibuya Incident arc anime will consist of a total of 18 Episodes that will cover the rest of the Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. The Premature Death arc primarily focused on Gojo and Geto and how they were best buddies in their school time but as time passed Geto was disgusted with his powers and did not want to do that anymore.
He was given some suggestions on how this world can be turned into a peaceful place for all the Jujutsu Sorcerers and he decided to turn into a villain. Well, Rika’s death also played a huge part in his decision and also being foreshadowed by Gojo too. Gojo is considered to be the strongest among all the Jujutsu Sorcerers but he was also given a reality check by Toji Fushiguro who gave him a run for his money.
Toji was almost able to eliminate it if it was not for Gojo’s Cursed Technique Reversal. We also saw Feral Gojo and things got messed up for him too. When he learned about Geto’s doing as he killed 22 civilians on a site, Gojo was in disbelief but when he confronted Geto he realized that his best friend is long gone and there is no coming back for him.
Now about the upcoming Shibuya Incident arc so it is a long arc and is the sixth arc of the story. It starts with chapter 83 and ends with chapter 152. This arc will be fully adapted into anime in the Second Season of Jujutsu Kaisen anime. In this arc, Geto will form an alliance with Mahito which we last saw in the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen anime and they will launch an all-out attack against humanity, And as saviors of the people Jujutsu Sorcerers including Geto’s friends and mentors will take on various cursed spirits.
The Shibuya arc will be full of action as always and it is the most famous arc in Jujutsu Kaisen and seeing this being animated is nothing but a treat to your eyes. Well, that also goes for seeing Gojo Sensei on screen but the anime will be getting more dark and intense from here and will unfold into some events no one is ready to witness. In the tweet, MAPPA thanked all the fans for giving love to the series and announced that the broadcast will be suspended due to some other programs. They will be releasing a Key Visual and a trailer for the Shibuya Incident arc on 24th August around midnight. The official broadcast begins the next week as per the old schedule.
