Boruto Episode 189 is officially titled RESONANCE and the Upcoming Episode of Boruto has made the audience excited as in the last episode Kawaki was introduced. In the upcoming episode, we will witness the fight between Kawaki and Garo who is an outer ally of KARA.
KARA is a mysterious organization headed by JIGEN ( Current Vessel of Isshiki Otsutsuki ). Kawaki is the former hostage of KARA who is chosen to be the vessel for Isshiki Otsutsuki after Jigen. After the crash of the airship which held Kawaki a hostage, Kawaki was found by Boruto and his friends lying down unconscious and exhausted by fighting scientific puppets in the territory of LAND OF FIRE.
Kashin Koji, an inner member of kara was observing this whole scene just when DELTA, another inner member came to him with her Outer ally Garo. Garo and Kawaki have a bad relationship in the past as Kawaki blew his chin by the power of KARMA.
Kara has some outer allies also who help the inner members to take out their mission so that their members’ identity will not be revealed. This is why No one has any clue about kara and its members. Ao was also one such outer ally who followed Kashin Koji’s orders to retrieve Kawaki though he failed to do so.

Boruto Episode 189 Preview

Boruto Manga Canon Episodes (Recap from 181-188)
In Boruto Anime Manga Canon episodes have started to air from episode 181. In these episodes, the hint of a traitor present in the Kara has also given as Jigen doubted that someone from the Inner circle has made the airship got crashed so that vessel (Kawaki) can be freed.
Earlier Jigen suspected Victor as a traitor and told Kashin Koji to kill Victor. Though now as the story progresses it is clear that victor was not the traitor. After this Jigen sought the help of Amado, an inner member with generous scientific skills. Amado confirmed that CODE and Delta are not the traitors. Now all the suspicion lies upon Koji and Boro. Though the real traitor is yet to be revealed.
Further, Ao as the outer ally of kara confronted Boruto and his friends. Ao has left living as a shinobi and devoted himself to the service of KARA in the form of a tool. Ao was the close aid of Fifth Mizukage but after losing his limbs in the Fourth Great Ninja War he left his shinobi life. Kara gave him hope and made him their ally.
Mugino, a Jonin companion of Konohamaru sacrificed himself to save TEAM 7 and Dr. Katatsuke in fighting with Ao. But later in the story, Ao was defeated by Boruto with the help of his friends. After this fight, Ao was killed by Kashin Koji as he suspected that he may turn up against Kara if the Shinobi of his soul will rise again.
Even in his last moments Ao saved Boruto by Koji’s fatal attack and died as a shinobi. Then Kashin Koji made his first encounter with Boruto. Koji left them unharmed after defeating Konohamaru as he saw the Karma Seal on Boruto’s palm. However, he instantly recognized that this karma was given by Momoshiki to Boruto.
