BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense Season 2 has been announced in a special online program celebrating the series’ 1st anniversary. It is also known as ‘ Itai no wa Iya nano de Bougyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu’ and is based on the light novel of the same name.
BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense Season 1 started airing in January 2020 and ended in March 2020 after a 12 episode run. The series was a hit and attracted many anime fans to it. Season 1 of the series was directed by Oonuma Shin and Mirai Minato and was animated by the studio SILVER LINK.

Story
The story revolves around Kaede Honjō, who was invited by her friend Risa Shiramine to play a VR (Virtual Reality) game at her house. Kaede likes to play games but one thing he hates is pain.
She creates a character named Maple and uses all points on the defense so she wouldn’t get hurt in a battle. But doing this was not a good idea as she can not move fast and even a rabbit can defeat her.
But this strange use of all points gives her some strange powers like ‘Absolute Defense‘ and ‘Counter Skill‘ that is used to defend against the special moves of enemies.
Even after gaining these powers, she has a lot to learn and increase her ability. This starts the adventure of Maple along with her friend and other characters.
