A visual has also been revealed to commemorate the announcement of the release date.
In the visual, we can see two of the protagonists, Shinpei Ajiro and Ushio Kofune standing on a shore of a beach with a mountain afar in the background. Both of their feet are submerged in the ocean. While Ushio is seen to hold a Red Spider Lily which signifies danger or death in anime, Ajiro is seen to hold a clamshell necklace in his hand, which seems to be a memento.
Summer Time Rendering Anime Studio:
The studio animating Summer Time Rendering is not yet announced. We will update the section as soon as official confirmation is made about the studio.
Besides that, if you have a good eye for art and animation, you can guess a handful of studios that will be animating Summer Time Rendering. Happy guessing.
After his parents passed, Shinpei Ajiro used to live with the Kofune sisters, Mio and Ushio. Although, he shortly moves to Tokyo to live on his own.
But after the sudden death of Ushio, who drowned trying to save a young girl named Shiori Kobayakawa, Ajiro returns to mourn her death.
However, after witnessing bruises around Ushio’s neck, Ajiro’s suspicion over Ushio’s death comes afloat. His suspicion gets confirmed when he gets a vision of the deceased Ushio requesting him to save her sister Mio.
And thus he begins to solve the mystery along with Mio and others to search for a future that is safe for his loved ones. But the more he investigates the more he drowns in the swamp of darkness.
Summer Time Rendering, also known as Summertime Render gives off vibes like Re: Zero where the protagonist is trying to solve the mystery of someone’s death while sinking in the darkness of no return.
It will be interesting to see how many episodes will be animated and by which studio keeping in mind the show has a total of 139 chapters which can take 40 to 48 episodes to adapt as a whole. And with a show like this, the voice acting cast is more important than ever.
