In the previous chapter, we saw that Heath had a flashback from the time Asta defeated him for the first time. Yosuga then told Heath that he will be fighting Asta now but he does not want to interrupt Asta and Sister Lily’s reunion. Sister Lily asked Asta why he is still alive and said the people from the land of the sun saved him.

He then said that he thinks that Sister Lily was the one who sent him here. Lily said that this is not what she wanted and her intention was to kill Asta. Asta called this an outright lie and said that he knows Sister Lily after spending so much time with her. He knows for sure she never wanted this even if she was controlled by someone.

To this Sister Lily says that they are not being manipulated into anything, she just does not want that Asta live. She then attacked Asta with a spell. Asta got a flashback from his childhood time while Lily was thinking about her next attack. Her teleportation spell will not work on Asta as he is still conscious and some other spells will not work on Asta due to his anti-magic powers.

She then used a combination attack – Water x Spatial magic spell: “Sachiel’s flash”. Lily said that Asta needs to die for this world and Asta says that he will not let her do it. We got to know that Paladins will follow any word that comes out of Lucius’ mouth but they have their original brains. It means they are the same persons they were before but they are now following Lucius’ orders. Asta said that he will never forget Lucius for this and then slashes Sister Lily’s powers.

• Chapter Title – Saint’s Penance
• Sister Lily is falling to the ground and she is apologizing for things to Asta.
• Asta says it does not matter.
• We then see Lily thinking about how she became a nun because she wished for equality among people.
• The church was also the same and nothing changed even after her prayers.
• Lily says that she wanted to save someone so she went to the orphanage.
• Back to the present, Ryu arrives and says to Lily that Asta is stronger now.
• She saved him that time and he will return the favor by saving her.

• Lily says Lucius wants to take control of all the magic in the world and it is a matter of time till he reaches the land of the sun.
• She says that she is embarrassed and then apologizes for the things she did.
• She regrets joining Lucius, unleashing the 5-headed dragon.
• Asta says that it is not her fault and she should not blame herself.
• Sister Lily then says thank you to Asta and faints.
• Ryu says the only way to wake her up is to defeat Lucius.
• Asta says he’ll defeat Lucius for sure.
• We then see the 5-headed dragon behind Asta and Asta says he will slay the dragon.
• Chapter ends.
