My Hero Academia 390 will show the aftermath of Dabi’s explosion as the whole Todoroki family failed to stop the explosion even after trying their best but things did not happen in their favor.
In the previous chapter, we saw that the chapter started with Dabi’s explosion as all the efforts from his family went in vain. Back at the Police headquarters the cops were saying that the speed of temperature increase decreased. That does not mean that an explosion will not happen if the same temperature is maintained.
On the battlefield, Rei, Natsuo, and Fuyumi were using their ice to protect themselves. Then we saw things from Dabi’s point of view as he noticed that everyone was looking at him. He then thought that why things were not like this before. On the other side, Tiger was telling all the heroes to evacuate as soon as possible. We saw that Uraraka was still fighting Toga in her Twice clones form.
The Masegaki kids were inside the UA Robots and saw the explosion on a tablet. The reporter from previous chapters was filming all these events from a helicopter. People all over the world were praying and the chapter ended with Shoto and Lida flying to Gunga at a very high speed and Shoto then activated his Phosphor move.

My Hero Academia 390 will be on a one-week break due to some health-related issues of the author Kohei Horikoshi. The break was so sudden that WSJ had to post an apology. The upcoming chapter of the manga will be released next week in the next issue of Weekly Shonen Jump which is scheduled to release on Sunday 4th June 2023. Spoilers and raw scans will be released at the usual release time (31st May).
