In the previous chapter, we saw that Jean and Nicholas were best friends. Jean even considered Nicholas as his brother. In the military unit, only Nicholas was the one with a family while every other person was an orphan. He was also the best fighter in the unit. But one day, he murdered his whole unit and all the civilians.

Nicholas reveals that he wanted to kill his teammates a long time ago. Jean begins to fight Nicholas and ultimately kills him. After killing Nicholas, Jean took the name Nicholas Le Banner and joined purgatory. In the present, Akoya is getting beat up by Nicholas. Koga yells that Akoya should block but thinks that maybe his arms are paralyzed due to Nicholas’s attack.

Hiyama is worried about Akoya. Nicholas finally paralyses Akoya’s whole body and is prepared to launch a final attack to kill him. Akoya bits Nicholas’s neck and says that he will execute justice.
