They first decided to start a battle but after analyzing the situation thoroughly came to terms with being allies. Gabimaru told them what he knew and they trusted him with that information.

We also saw that Mei turned into a girl after she woke up. Gabimaru told them all about Tensen and the Horai region and how things work around the island. After that, the Samurai and his executioner both stated their goals and why they want the elixir of life. On the other side, Senta was all set to throw some new theories.

One of them was that the island had a mixture of various cultures and that directly means that there must be a creator of this mysterious island. Mei was then able to speak but was not able to speak that clearly and only talked in a few words. Nurugai was asking Shion to teach her how to use a sword so that she can avenge Tenza.

When we saw an explanation of how things work for Shion as he is blind. He sense some kind of energy from the living things and then they were surrounded by some monsters.
