Best upcoming Anime series of 2023

Every anime fan knows how amazing last year was. With the releases of Chainsaw Man, Spy x Family, the Jujutsu Kaisen movie, and much more, it delivered the entertainment that everyone was looking for. 

Now, the anime community is talking about how 2023 will probably be the best year for anime in a while – and we most certainly agree. 

This year, we’re going to enjoy more seasons of the shows everyone loves while also meeting new characters in some highly-anticipated upcoming anime series like Solo Leveling. 

Demon Slayer Season 3

Demon Slayer debuted during the spring season of 2019. Since then, the show’s popularity has grown exponentially, and its third season is among this year’s most anticipated releases.

After two very successful seasons and a movie that broke the anime box office record, we are finally getting a new season. Season 3 of Demon Slayer will adapt the Swordsmith Village Arc, where Tanjiro will get a new powerful sword and face some of the series’ most powerful demons. 

He and his sister Nezuko will go on a mission with the Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito, and one of the best female Demon Slayer characters, Mitsuri the Love Hashira. 

Luckily for fans, the third season of Demon Slayer will release in April 2023. Starting on February 18, the first episode will have a tour throughout theatres around the world, so be sure to check if it’s coming near you.

Solo Leveling

This popular manhwa (Korean manga) is finally getting its anime adaptation led by A-1 Pictures (Sword Art Online, Your Lie in April, Fairy Tail, and more).

Solo Leveling follows a weak monster hunter named Sung Jinwoo who, after some unfortunate (or maybe fortunate) events, gains the chance to become a lot more powerful. He uses this opportunity to help his family and friends and defend humankind from the dangerous monsters in a story much more complex than it sounds.

We believe there’s a reason behind the hype about Solo Leveling. We’ll see if this anime is going to be as great as everyone says.

Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3

MAPPA, the studio behind Attack on Titan, is trying to cut this last season into as many parts as possible. We hope everything they’re doing will be worth it. 

As one of the best anime shows of all time, everyone in the anime community is talking about Attack on Titan. The story about Eren’s wish to find freedom has captivated many, who now eagerly wait for the finale. 

Recently, it was announced that the final part of Attack on Titan’s fourth season will be divided into two parts. The first, a one-hour special, will be released on March 4. The second one will come out later this year and bring this show to its highly anticipated ending.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2

Jujutsu Kaisen is a unique, fresh, and dark take on the shonen genre. It’s a show animated by MAPPA Studio whose excellent first season left fans wanting more. Luckily, the wait will soon be over as Jujutsu Kaisen will return with its second season sometime in 2023. 

According to the fans, this season will adapt the Shibuya Incident Arc, which covers philosophical stories for everyone who wants to get ponderous and epic fights for those watching for the flashy animations.

The first season of Jujutsu Kaisen introduced us to great main and supporting characters like Yuji Itadori, Satoru Gojo, Nobara Kugisaki, Megumi Fushiguro, and much more. In the next season, we hope to meet new awesome characters while the ones we already love grow into better versions of themselves.
