The fight is about to begin soon as Canute will reach Ketil’s farm in Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 19 with the intention of capturing it to increase the revenue of the state.
In the previous episode, we saw that Ketil has returned to his farm with Leif and he got to know about Gardar and how Arnheid tried to run away from the farm. Ketil was already pretty upset about things that happened when he visited Canute and now this news worked as a fuel in the fire.
Ketil beat up Arnheid with a rod and she was injured pretty badly. If Snake would not have reached there she would have been dead for sure. Ketil has gone insane and now thinks that everyone is lying to him. At the end of the episode, we see him opening a box and we see his sword from the old times.

Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 18 Recap
In the last episode, we saw Floki with Canute and his commander Ulf who are about to reach Ketil’s farm and they would reach early as the winds are favoring them. Floki then reminded that he is an ally and not under their command. Then Canute asks if Ketil is going to fight or if he would submit to the king.
Ulf explained that Ketil in his time was a mighty warrior and he was called Iron Fist. His son Thorgill is also a great fighter and he was part of King’s bodyguards before these events. Canute then said that it would be good if they submit because a fight would be useless but Ulf said that they should not underestimate him.
Ketil along with his both son was welcomed by the workers and Thorgil told them to be ready for an upcoming fight without telling them who the enemy is. Ketil was in a very bad condition and he looked like he lost his senses and was not responding to anything. He then left without saying anything and then went to look for Arnheid.
The fighters were told to build the walls again for the fight. Thorfinn and Einar were tied down as they helped Gardar and Arnheid in escaping. Then we saw Einar and Thorfinn talking about the fight between Snake and Thorfinn. Einar said sorry that Thorfinn had to fight Snake, Thorfinn said that he never intended to but he also wanted to help Arnheid and Gardar.
Ketil then reached his home only to find out that Arnheid tried to run away from the farm with her husband Gardar. This enraged Ketil and he went to look for her in stable and when he found her, he bear her with a stick until she lost consciousness.
Snake then interfered and asked Ketil to buy Einar and Arnheid too. Ketil said he can do whatever he wants with Einar but Arnheid is not going anywhere. We then see Ketil full of anger as he went to fetch his weapons from an old box.
