Arnheid is going to reunite with his husband in Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 14 but it does not look like it will be a pleasant one as Gardar has killed one of Snake’s men and he can not let it slide. On the other side, King Canute is also ready to set his foot on Ketil’s farm soon.
In the last episode, we saw that a slave freed himself, and by the looks of the situation the slave was tortured but now he had the weapon in his hands, and the master was apologizing to him and begging for his life. The master even said that he would be his slave if he spared his life. Thorfinn and Einar were discussing what Ketil said to them about working for him as a retainer.
We then saw the old man on his farm unconscious. He fell ill and everyone was taking care of him. Then Snake got the information about the slave and there was suspicion that he might be on Ketil’s farm Snake’s subordinates later discovered him. Vinland Saga Season 2 Episode 13 Recap
The episode started with a scene where we see a slave with a weapon in his hands and his master running. There is a woman with a kid in the background. The master could be seen begging for his life after all this happened but the slave was pretty angry and things got bad and the master was killed by the slave. We also saw the farm get set on fire and then the slave left the farm but left the woman and kid alive.
The last episode started the 2nd Cour for the series and we saw a new Opening and Ending theme in the episode. Then we saw Thorfinn and Einar talking about what Ketil said when he left to meet King Harald. They were thinking about what should they do and whether should they work for Ketil as a retainer as he is a good man. Einar said he is confused but if gets free he also wants to free Arnheid.
Then we see Sanke shouting and looking for the old master. Snake thought that the master would return with Thorfinn and Einar but when he did not see him with them he left for his farm immediately to look for him. Snake found the old master unconscious on his farm. Then we saw that the old master was sick and in a bad condition. Arnheid was sent to take care of the old master but it was too much for him and he denied but she stayed.
She made food for all of them including Thorfinn and Einar and they all were shocked after seeing the food she made. After this, they all enjoyed their food. Then we saw Einar and Arnheid talking about their dinner and she said that she felt like she was free again. Then Snake was informed by a subordinate that a slave ran away from a nearby farm and he might be on Ketil’s property.
There was a reward of three horses on the slave’s head. Snake warned him to not start a fight with him if they see him. Then the next day three of Snake’s subordinates found the man resting under a tree and started talking loudly and had to pray the price as one of them was killed by the slave and the other two were injured. The slave then was seen running through the field while the subordinates followed him.
Einar was cutting wood while Arnheid was washing clothes. Snake was reading the bible to the old master and Thorfinn was also hearing it from outside. The Snake heard the commotion and came out and Arnheid also reacted like he knew the slave after looking at him. She then called out his name ‘Gardar!!!’. Snake ran inside to grab his sword while the man looked at Arnheid and said I have finally found you, my wife.
