The second cour of fan-favorite anime will start with The Apothecary Diaries Episode 13 as the anime will be taking a one-week break and it will continue to release weekly episodes as per the previous schedule on Saturday/Sunday. The Apothecary Diaries Episode 12 Recap
The 12th episode showed that Maomao was laid off from her duties by Master Jinshi as her family had some business with Fengming’s family and Maomao was one of the eighty women that got released from the rear palace. Maomao was concerned about this and tried to talk to Master Jinshi. She said that she would follow all the orders given to her as she did not want to beg for the job even though she needed it to pay off her debt.
Master Jinshi thought that she hated the rear palace as she was brought there against her will and it would be good to release her as she wanted all the time. Maomao was sent back to her house while Master Jinshi was sad all this time over the matter. Even other people told him that he would regret this decision.
After some time, Maomao joined her three sisters for a party and found Master Jinshi there and the smile came back to his face. Maomao was still unsure about her future but then after some time Master Jinshi came to the old lady’s place and offered a huge amount of money for a certain girl. He also brought a gift for Maomao.
