Story

Satoru Mikami is a corporate worker who lives a very boring life despite being 37 years old. He has no regrets but only one as in his 37 years of life he can’t make a girlfriend. When he was meeting a friend he becomes a victim of a random thug who stabs him.

While succumbing to his injuries a strange voice echoes in his head but these voices do not make any sense. After a while Satoru gains consciousness, he realizes that he is not a human anymore and has been reincarnated into a different realm as a slime.

He also notices that some strange powers like the power to devour anything and taking the personality of others. He then faces a sealed demon Veldora who has been sealed away for the past 300 years for destroying a town.

Due to his sympathetic behavior, Satoru becomes friends with Veldora. In return, Veldora promises Satoru eternal protection and gives him a new name ‘Rimuru Tempest’. This starts a new adventure in a very different realm than earth.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a light novel that has been adapted into a manga. This series is written by Fuse and is drawn by Mitz Vah. The monthly manga is published by the popular publisher Kodansha comics while Yen Press has licensed the light novel in North America.
