Record of Ragnarok Season 2 confirmed by Netflix, Release Date, and other details soon

The hit anime and manga series Record of Ragnarok has been renewed for a second season after it dropped its first season as a Netflix anime series this year on June 17th. Season 1 was a 12 episode series and had three fights animated ( Lu Bu vs Thor, Adam vs Zeus, and Kojiro Sasaki vs Poseidon).

Season 2 might follow the same trend and will probably cover the next three fights from the manga but there is no trailer released yet so we will have to wait for a confirmation by officials. Also, Season 1 will be broadcasted from October 1st on TOKYO MX, BS11, MBS, Cartoon Network.

Fights getting adapted in Record of Ragnarok Season 2

Jack The Ripper vs Heracles

The first fight of season 2 will be fought between Jack The Ripper (a Famous serial killer from Britain) and (A greek god – God of Fortitude).

Raiden Tameemon vs Shiva

The fifth round of the God vs Humans fight will be fought between Raiden Tameemon (A famous Japanese Sumo wrestler, considered best of all time) and Lord Shiva (A Hindu God considered the strongest God of Destruction).

Buddha vs Bishamonten/Zerofuku/Hajun

Probably the last fight of Shuumatsu no Valkyrie season 2 will be fought between Lord Buddha ( Founder of Buddhism, one of the Four Sages) and Bishamonten (God of fortune) who gets fused with Zerofuku to fight Buddha. Then Zerofuku gets turned into Hajun (Demon Lord of Sixth Heaven). [The fight is still ongoing in the manga]

Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Release Date

An official Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Release Date is not yet announced but looking at the timeline, the first season was announced back in December 2020 and it was released on 17th June 2021. So we can say from this that the second season of Record of Ragnarok anime will premiere in Winter 2022 or Spring 2022.

Record of Ragnarok Plot

Every one thousand years, Gods from different worlds gather and have a discussion over the fate of humanity. This is decided by a voting system and this vote decides that either the human race will continue to live or will be eradicated by gods. In the recent meeting, all gods have agreed on finishing the human race.

At the very last second, A Valkyrie interrupted and made the proposition that the human race should be given a chance and their fate must be decided on the basis of one-on-one fights between Gods and Humans. Gods agree to this as their pride was on the stack.

So a tournament starts where 13 Gods will face 13 Human warriors and the team reaching 7 victories first will decide the fate of the human race.
