Ruby has joined a prestigious school to hone her skills as an idol while Aqua enrolled in the same school as a general student. Oshi no Ko Episode 3 will be the start of their school life and they will be joined by prodigy child actress Kana Arima.
The last episode started with an Idol competition with too many applicants and Ruby also participated in that but Aqua made it look like she got rejected because he do not want to let her sister become an idol. We also see that Ai’s death changed Aqua completely. Ruby always had that dream to follow her mother and is very determined to do so. In the episode, Ruby was also approached by an idol recruiter same as Ai was approached.
Aqua was still hesitant so he discussed with their guardian mother and reached the conclusion that Strawberry Entertainment will start a new idol group and recruit Ruby themselves. Then we saw that Ruby and Aqua both got admission to a prestigious school and met Kana Arima the female artist from the first episode. They will start their school journey in the third episode of Oshi no Ko anime.

Oshi no Ko Episode 2 Recap
The second episode of Oshi no Ko anime started with an idol competition held in Japan Ruby took part in that and was able to reach the last rounds of the auditions and results were awaited. She was able to do that all because of charisma and how she always caught the eye of the public. Ruby then talked about her secrets and that she can not tell anyone that she is a famous idol Hoshino Ai’s daughter and she has memories from his previous life.
She was a big of B Komachi when she was bedridden due to her illness in her previous life and now she wants to follow her dreams like her mother to become an idol. She told the same to his brother Aqua but Aqua was not so interested in it and told her all that happens after a certain age in an idol’s life and this is not good for her. Ruby then talked about how their mother’s death changed his brother and how he always has a gloomy face now. She also suspects that he is planning something with the director but never tells her anything about that.
Strawberry Productions is now managed by Miyako-San as her husband also retired after the incident with Ai and now they no longer manage idols. Miyako then talked about what Ai did as no less than a miracle and it will not happen twice. Then Ruby got a call from her interviews for being an idol and she got to know that she was rejected. Miyako consoled her but we got to know that Aqua made that call to protect her sister and even blocked the recruiter’s number from Ruby’s phone.
Ruby then was scouted by a recruiter and was invited to join an underground idol group managed by some agency. Ruby was very excited about this while Aqua was worried. Miyako said to him that it is alright that he feels that way after what happened to their mother but Ruby is her daughter and she can not stop her from doing what she wants to do. Aqua then played the scout and brought an idol managed by the same underground group that was looking to recruit Ruby.
Then they talked about her issues with the agency and other things and turned out she was not that happy there. It all came to the decision that Strawberry Productions will start a new idol group. Miyako then asked Ruby seriously if she wanted to become an idol for real and then she signed her up for their own agency. Then Aqua went to the director’s house and we saw his mother and she is quite a character and it was a very funny interaction between son and mom.
Director then talked to Aqua about his acting skills and he should pick up acting again. Ruby will be joining a school with a good performing arts department while he was going for general education. Aqua never took acting seriously as his main motive was to find his father and take revenge for his mother. He then told the director that he has no talent for drawing the audience and will be taking on other roles as will not pursue acting anymore.
Then the director told some inspiring words Aqua that you can never win a lottery you never bought a ticket to. Aqua then again gave the Ai counter but the director said that he should give it a try again as one or two setbacks mean nothing. Then in school, both siblings were enrolled and then they met Kana Arima and she recognized Aqua immediately. She was shocked that he did not join the art department.
Oshi no Ko Story
