Chainsaw Man Anime Adaptation, Release Date and Details

Chainsaw man anime is a topic of discussion for manga fans for quite a time. Chainsaw Man is one of the most famous manga series in recent times and is written by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The manga was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine in December 2018 and ended its first part in December 2020.

The second part of the manga is already announced and will be titled ‘Chainsaw Man: School Arc’. School Arc will be released on Shueisha Japan’s digital manga platform ShonenJump+. A release date for the second part is still awaited but it will be announced soon.

Chainsaw Man Anime Trailer

Chainsaw Man Trailer will be released on the 10th Anniversary of Studio MAPPA. The date for the trailer release is 27th June 2021.

In an official announcement made on twitter account of Studio MAPPA and Weekly Shonen Jump that Chainsaw Man manga will be adapted into an anime series by Studio MAPPA. A anime promotional video and a key visual with an official website was also released.

Also, the manga will be coming back for a second part on Shonen Jump+ but a release date is not disclosed yet. We are sharing the key visual and promotional video here

UPDATE – An anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man has been confirmed and Studio MAPPA will be handling the animation for the anime series. For the release date, nothing has been announced yet but it might get disclosed at the upcoming Jump Festa event.

Many fans have been asking that if Chainsaw Man going to get an adaptation because of Chainsaw Man’s violence and imagination. So, recently a report from Yonkou Productions stated that Chainsaw man is getting a fast track anime adaptation.

A news source reporting all weekly shonen jump manga-related news on Twitter has noticed that a domain name with the word ‘Chainsawman’ with the extension dog was recently registered. This is probably a hint at Chainsaw Man Anime and it is very likely to be announced at the upcoming Jump Fest 2020. We are attaching the original tweet here –

Chainsaw Man Anime Release Date:

As per the rumors, Chainsaw Man anime getting a fast-track adaptation but you know good things take time. And Japan’s work culture is facing restrictions due to the COVID-19 lockdown so it might take a while.

Chainsaw Man Anime is going to get released in 2021. Which season is it going to release we can’t say but we can say for sure that the wait is going to be worth it.

Story:

Chainsaw man is created by Tatsuki Fujimoto , and Chainsaw Man is what its name implies. Story follows a young and lonely boy Denji who fuses with his demon puppy. After that Denji transforms into a Devil hunter named Chainsaw man.

The devils are here to harm the humans which is why they need to be exterminated. Denji who works as a tree cutter and devil hunter has a burden to pay off his father’s debt to the yakuza. Denji’s dog Pochita (who is also a devil) has characteristics of a chainsaw and is used as a working tool by Denji.

One day a yakuza tricks Denji to go into a building to kill a zombie devil but the actual plan of the yakuza was to kill Denji to obtain more power from the devil. The devil kills denji and severely injures Pochita. After that pochita gets merged with denji’s human body and denji comes back to life as a half-human, half-devil.

After getting pochita’s ability denji kills the devil who killed him. A team of government devil hunters arrives at the scene to exterminate the devil but seeing the devil already dead. They ask denji to join the government organization of devil hunters.
